Unscripted Sketches #103

I'm always on the lookout for new project ideas and challenges. I decided to participate in Unscripted Sketches weekly challenge for the first time today and make a card. I don't make cards often but with extra pieces of paper from a project I'm working on, I decided to use that and make a rockin' card.

Here was the sketch provided:

I decided to flip the sketch making the circle on the left to fit in this awesome photo mat I had.
I used The Rockstar paper pack by DCWV.

I punched out a 2 inch circle with my fiskars squeeze punch, inked up the edges with black ink and stamped You rock! with my Inkadinkado Typewriter (upper case) stamps.
I also decided to add a metal embelishment I got from my dollar store.

I decided to distress the edges of the outer paper (black) and use a foam adhesive to pop up the green paper.

Was super fun to make and can't wait till next week's sketch!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you again soon.

Week 17: 52 week sketch challenge

Here is the sketch for this week. Honestly, took me minutes to put it together. Wasn't a huge project to do but that's just what this page is going into. It's an album about my grandparents 50th anniversary. I'm using the Luxury paper pack by DCWV.

Prima Flower with dollar store bling!

Overview of the layout. Still haven't done the journaling.
Might just list the names of everyone in the photo.

Another similar prima flower. same color almost same design.
Another dollar store bling swirl :D

Layers and inked the edges. Super fast to put together!

Hope you give it a try.

Scrappy Tips!

Want to know how to use up some scrappy pieces instead of just throwing it out or keeping it without knowing what to do with it later?

All you need is punches!

Punch out circles for the backs of your handmade flowers!
Punch out tabs for future projects!
Punch out borders on those long strips of papers for cards or  accents on your layouts!

Keep those half circle punch outs! Use them as tabs or accents on your layouts! Use a circle punch and add those half circles around them and make a unique scallop circle.

So many great things to do with scraps. wether you puunch them out ready to use later or save them  until you do these. It's a great way to use up those extra small scraps.

Week 16: 52 week sketch challenge

Ok so this is probably the first week I've actually had to modify the sketch a bit to fit the needs of what I had on hand. Just because it called for a top note shape page.. well I opted for something a little different.Hope you like it!

Week 14: 52 week sketch challenge

Hi! Welcome back to this week's sketch challenge.
This sketch was much more fun for me to make this week then last week's sketch. I recently got started on my grandparent's 50th anniversary scrapbooking album. I decided to go ahead and use this week's challenge for my next layout. I'm sure happy I did because I love it!
