Halloween In Wonderland Mini Album!

 HI!
I finally have another mini album to share with you.  I'm so excited! I know it's the middle of summer and nowhere near Halloween but I just had to get my hands busy with this paper collection by Graphic 45.

As soon I saw saw Regan's December Daily mini album on YouTube (Emora Designs) I knew I wanted to take her recycled concept and make a mini almost like it. With this paper, and getting my hands on binding wires I knew I had to make my idea come to life. Another reason I wanted to do this now and not in October is because I had this door knob from 7 Gypsies I purchased just for this album!.

For this album I gathered old cardboard pieces from the recycling bin and from scrapbooking packaging. I also included pages from chipboard albums you find in the 1.50$ section in Michaels.

If you are here for a list of supplies, please scroll down to the end of this post.
If you are here for pictures... you're in luck. This is the heaviest photo post I have yet.
If you are here for an explanation of what I did. Please scroll down and click on the link to my youtube videos  featuring this album.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy!

Week 28: 52 week sketch challenge

Welcome back to another weekly post.

I had a fun time making this SUPER FAST layout :)

I chose my niece as the theme. I have a hard time finding pictures when it become 3 or more photos in a layout. Therefore, after finding these photos, it was easier to choose the paper/theme. I found the pink polka dot paper in my stash that I remember it being from Cosmo Cricket.. not sure which collection. I then chose a heart paper from Echo Park's Summer Days collection. I also used pink printer paper for the photo mat and the "love you" is from Echo park's Summer days collection as well.  I inked up everything with Worn Lipstick distress ink and added a few Recollections copper brads.

Thanks for stopping by! :D

Week 27: 52 week sketch challenge

Hi! Sorry for the delay in posting. Every weekend I spend it at camp so I'm late posting during these summer months :D By the way, we're past halfway!! yay! So proud I'm keeping up with this :D

Here is the sketch and my layout for this week.

This week I chose to do a layout of my grandma.

I chose to use Wild Saffron paper by K&Company.
I cut out 3 circles with my Martha Stuart circle cutter and added some clear dew drops around them. (zots (small) fit perfectly to adhere these)
I also used Forest Moss and Shabby Shutters distress ink to ink up edges.

This quote was found on Scrapbook.com after google-ing Grandma quotes. It led me to their site featuring so many quotes! (just a heads up for a quick find)
It reads  " A Grandma is a mom with extra frosting. - author unknown- "

Thanks for stopping by and see you next week.
