Week 13: 52 week sketch challenge

I didn't lik this first layout so I made 2 this week..I still didn't like it..:( I think it's the papers that are just killing the love for these layouts.. sketch is nice.. layouts not so much.. give it a try and please show me yours.

Week 12: 52 week sketch challenge

Week 12 sketch was fun to do.. finding 4 photos that go together is hard to find sometimes so I got some from 2007!!  Photos of my niece when she was a few months old.. 6 months about. She's 4 and a half right now lol.. got to do it some time and this week is the week.

So here is the sketch and layout of the week. Enjoy and hope you give it a try.

Cute layout of my niece during summer months.. so about 6 months old. I would babysit a lot during 2007 and of course go photo crazy.

Using the Totally /Girl paper pack by My Mind's Eye,

lace, prima flowers and 4 photo corners.. super easy layout to make!

Family Mini Album

Using the tab chipboard album from Michaels, I've decided to make a mini with photos from a family photoshoot. My siblings and I decided in 2009 to take some photos around thanksgiving so we can create a wonderful gift for my parents for christmas. I of course wanted copies. I decided to make a mini to showcase some of the best photos we've taken.

Alright, so the title is from My Mind's Eye Title Mega Pack that I got from peachycheap.com

I took  3 flowers from Prima ( fabric type flowers) and cut each in half and layered them. Makes it look like a few flowers but this is a great way to save on flowers. I then glimmer misted them with irredecent gold for some shine.

I then added some lace and a handmade brown ribbon flower.

With a few quick embellishments, the album is complete. I didn't add too many embellishments because I wanted the photos to be the main attraction.  The flowers and buttons are tiny "fillers".

Altered box for storage???

What?? An altered box for storage?? YES!!! : D

I've had my stickles and enamel paint stuff from ranger on my desk and keep having to move them aside. My solution? Hmm I wanted to alter a box and it just so happens it fits to the point it closes..unfortunetly only fits 5 of the 6 I have but I can deal for now. I'm not a huge fan of stickles.. so once at least one of my 3 bottles are gone I can fit my sepia trial bottle in there. Works out for me and a cute little project to display on my desk.. win win for me.. Enjoy the photos and let me know what you think.

It includes a picture of my sister.

I'm not usually used to leaving a space blank on the page.. so it was a lot of fun to make this photo with a cluster of flowers with it. Tons of fun!  Was also fun to include all the colors of this paper pack. (All Girl by Recollections)

Watch closely to the flowers.. there is a stamp under there peeking though :D

Week 10: 52 week sketch challenge

10 weeks have past and I'm so happy with my progress.  After completing the layout of the week I always want to craft some more and my creative juices flow and make more projects.. not only layouts but altered things.

It's not my proudest layout. I think it's a little too busy for my liking. I wish I would have used less pattern papr and probably use from basic colored ones but I didn't want to change or redo it.  Got to realize you may not always like the final product, or the sketch. I think of it as a finished layout, a challenge complete and a sketch I just may not ever use again.. we'll see.lol
